State troopers ID 45-year-old woman killed in rollover crash in Shelby Co.

SHELBY COUNTY — UPDATE @ 1:20 a.m.

A 45-year-old woman is dead after a rollover crash in Shelby County Thursday night.

The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded at 7:49 p.m. to State Route 29 south of Fort Loramie Swanders Road on initial reports of a crash, according to an OSHP spokesperson.

An OSHP preliminary investigation said that a 2021 GMC Acadia was traveling northwest on State Route 29 near Fort Loramie Swanders Road when it went off the right side of road and hit a guardrail.

The SUV overturned and came to rest in a ditch.

State troopers identified the driver as 45-year-old Jill Albers of Versailles. She died from her injuries, OSHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
