Feds arrest El Salvadorian man in Montgomery County wanted for murder abroad

NEW LEBANON — Federal agents have arrested a man they said is wanted in his home country for murder.

A Homeland Security spokesperson provided News Center 7 with the following statement:

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement alongside federal partners from the FBI, DEA, ATF, and U.S. Border Patrol executed a federal arrest warrant for an illegally present El Salvadoran national, who is wanted in his home country on murder charges, in the New Lebanon, Ohio area March 3, 2025.”

New Lebanon Police Department said the investigation happened in the 200 block of Perry Street.

Agents did not identify the man but said he is in federal custody pending additional charges.
