Cloudy with a Chance of Podcast: Climate Change & Harvest

Chief meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs and meteorologist Kirstie Zontini are back with their final episode in their climate series. Two repeat guests, Dr. Aaron Wilson and Dr. Elizabeth Hawkins joined them to talk about our changing climate and the impact it can have on the farming community. Dr. Hawkins is a field specialist in agronomic systems with the Ohio State Extension and Dr. Wilson is the newly appointed State Climatologist of Ohio. He is also an Assistant Professor - Ag Weather and Climate Field Specialist, Department of Extension.

Dr. Wilson spoke with McCall and Kirstie about some of the impacts Ohio’s seasonality has changed over the past several decades. Dr. Hawkins also talked about the adapting farming community and how a warmer climate has changed practices. It is an interesting look at how weather, climate and farming are deeply connected!
