Ohio State ranks No. 2 in both AP and Coaches Top 25 polls

COLUMBUS — The Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked number two in both the Associated Press and Coaches Top 25 college football polls released Sunday.

The top five is the same for both polls.

Georgia is number one, Michigan ranks third, TCU is fourth and Tennessee falls to fifth.

The Buckeyes beat Northwestern, 21-7, Saturday in Evanston, Illinois.

Running back Miyan Williams rushed for 111 yards and two scores. Quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for only 76 yards in windy conditions but ran for 79 yards, including a 44-yard run.

OSU improved to 9-0 overall, 6-0 in the Big 10. They are tied for first place in the Big 10 East with Michigan.

Ohio State will host Indiana Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. in Columbus.
