Reds trade All-Stars Jesse Winker, Eugenio Suárez to Mariners

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds are trading All-Stars Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suárez to the Seattle Mariners, according to multiple reports.

The trade will bring pitchers Justin Dunn and Brandon Williamson, as well as outfielder Jake Fraley to Cincinnati, MLB.com reporter Mark Feinsand reported Monday afternoon.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan was first to report the news on the trade just before 5 p.m.

The move is the latest major trade for the Reds. On Sunday, the Reds traded Sonny Gray to the Minnesota Twins.

Winker made the All-Star team in 2021 and spent time with the Dayton Dragons prior to his MLB debut

Suárez hit 31 home runs in 2021 and 49 home runs in 2019, according to MLB.com. He was named to the NL All-Star Team in 2018.
