That’s why so many of them are traveling for these playoff games.

Fans told Lewis they’ve been with the team during the ups and downs and remember seeing empty seats at Payor Stadium. Now, that’s not the case.

“I remember four or five years ago there weren’t even this many people at Paul Brown Stadium,” said Casey Schneider of Loveland. “So, to see this many people traveling and supporting the team. It’s surreal, it’s amazing.”

Lewis says you can feel the excitement outside at the tailgating lots and fans hope to bring that inside Arrowhead Stadium. He spoke with one fan, Jacob, an 18-year old from Waynesville. They spoke at the Bengals-Ravens playoff game in Cincinnati and the Bengals-Bills game in Orchard Park, New York.

Jacob is in Kansas City for the game with his father, uncle and grandfather. They chatted with Lewis again and he said they were his good luck charm during this Bengals playoff run.

“We had to make the trip to keep it going,” he said. “We went to Buffalo. We’re here to support them, watch them win.”

Jacob told Lewis it’s just ‘awesome’ seeing all the Bengals fans on the road supporting the team.
