Chiefs linebacker ‘nothing’ impressive with Bengals offense

CINCINNATI — Did the Cincinnati Bengals find bulletin board material before Sunday night’s AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs?

Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay says the Chiefs want to let their play do the talking.

But when asked what impresses him about the Bengals offense Thursday, Gay said, “nothing,” according our news partner WCPO in Cincinnati.

He spoke of the importance of stopping the Bengals running game saying they’re going to “act like they can big-boy us, but (the) front six, seven are gonna definitely do our job and try to slow that down.”

Cincinnati’s offensive players didn’t agree with what Gay said, WCPO said.

“I ain’t got no response for him,” said Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. “We gonna get him. I ain’t got no response.”

He said the team has been good at blocking out any outside noise, according to WCPO.

“There’s always distractions,” Chase said. “Just blocking out the noise, and making sure we have tunnel vision on what the prize is.”

Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor said earlier this week he’ll “search every inch of the internet” to find motivation for his team.
