Schulenburg died in Bloomfield, New Jersey, her representative, Kyle Luker, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Schulenburg portrayed Alison Stewart in “As the World Turns” from 2007 to 2010, according to IMDb.com. She also played Stewart in one crossover episode of “The Young and the Restless” in 2007 and was cast as Jo Sullivan in nine episodes of the “One Life to Live” reboot in 2013.

Schulenburg was the wife of actor Zack Robidas, who plays the right-wing TV journalist Mark Ravenhead on HBO’s “Succession” and Sorry for Your Loss,” according to Deadline. They were married on Sept. 15, 2013, according to Schulenburg’s Facebook page.

“Please don’t say Marnie lost her battle to cancer. It’s simply not true. I watched her kick cancer’s ass every day since diagnosis,” Robidas’ post reads, according to Variety. “She is incredible. We chose to attack her diagnosis with blind optimism. We only talked about the future and continued moving forward. I don’t know if this was right but it’s all we knew how to do.”

Schulenburg was born on May 21, 1984, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was the daughter of a concert trombonist and attended Barnstable High School in Massachusetts and DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a degree in theater in 2006, according to the entertainment website.

As a youth, Schulenberg was a gymnast. She appeared on stage in plays for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and the Dramatists Guild of America in New York City.

She was the second actor to portray Alison Stewart in “As the World Turns,” following Jessica Dunphy’s departure in 2005, Variety reported.

Schulenburg received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her performance in the final year of the show in 2010, according to the entertainment website.

From 2014 to 2017, she starred in “Tainted Dreams,” Variety reported.

Schulenburg also had guest roles on primetime shows such as “Blue Bloods,” “Fringe,” “Elementary,” “Royal Pains” and “The Good Fight,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition, she had a recurring role in the upcoming third season of Showtime drama “City on the Hill,” which premieres in July, Variety reported.

Schulenburg was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, Deadline reported.

She was released from the hospital on Mother’s Day to spend time with her husband and daughter, SheKnows Soaps reported.

“I know that me being here for (daughter Coda) is the best gift I can give her,” Schulenburg wrote on Facebook. “But right now, it feels like settling since she’s getting a half-life version of myself. My mother showed up 100% all day every day for me growing up, or at least it seemed that way. I want to give Coda the same, but I must be kind to myself and remember that nothing is permanent.”
