BOULDER, Colo. — Attention, residents of Boulder, Colorado.
If “Grateful Sled” or “Snowba Fett” aren’t up to the task, look out for “Plowerina” and “Frostasaurus” to pick up the slack.
The city of Boulder on Thursday announced the winners of its second-annual snowplow naming contest.
The winners were selected from more than 40 entries submitted by Boulder-area elementary school students, KDVR reported.
“Inspiring creativity around a routine topic like snow clearing is a fun and impactful way to connect with our younger community members,” Rene Lopez, the city’s business services supervisor, said in a prepared statement. “We hope to bring this contest back again and again.”
The winning names will be featured on 10 city snowplows for the 2022-2023 snow season, and winners will be invited to take a photo with the snowplow they named, the city confirmed.
