No injuries were reported among the five students on the bus, their driver or the driver of the F-150 that rear-ended the bus just after 4 p.m., Patrol Public Affairs Unit Sgt. Ryan Purpura said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the bus was slowing to let a student off on Navajo Trail, near Comanchee Trail, and had its yellow lights activated when it was rear-ended by the truck.

The driver of that at-fault vehicle, 44-year-old Christopher Garcia, of Dublin, was reaching for an item on the floor when the crash occurred, the sergeant said. He was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

The crash remains under investigation.
