Power restored to thousands of Clinton Co. residents

CLINTON COUNTY — Update at 5:49 a.m. ET, June 4:

Thousands of AES Ohio customers were without power Saturday night.

The incoming weather conditions during the evening caused a power outage that affected at least 2,600 customers. Those thousands of people reported not having access to electrical power.

While the thunderstorm that moved through Clinton County caused power outages, its departure and AES Ohio maintenance helped restore power back to all its customers in the county.

At least 2600 customers are without power in Clinton County, according to the AES Ohio outage map.

This includes as many as 1,400 outages east of Sabina.

“Power is out in the Village due to an issue at the substation,” the Village of Sabina wrote on social media.

Some thunderstorms moved through Clinton County late Saturday afternoon.

They said until it is restored, please treat traffic signals as four-way stops.
