When police got to the house, they found a 28-year-old woman dead in the house’s bathroom. She had been shot several times.

When asked if anyone was in the house when police arrived, Protsman said he believed there were three children there. They have since been placed with relatives.

A handgun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered.

News Center 7 was on scene Tuesday when multiple Kettering police cruisers were on the scene and crime scene tape surrounded a home.

While police have not identified the suspect yet, 27-year-old Taveon Glenn was arrested and booked at the Montgomery County Jail Tuesday just before 5 p.m. Kettering City Jail records showed that he’s being held on an aggravated murder charge,

Protsman noted that this was the first homicide of the year in Kettering and called it “rare.”

“Unfortunately, this appears to be a domestic violence incident, as we well know is a problem around this country,” he said.

The identity of the woman killed in the incident has not been released pending notification by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
