Motorcycle, dump truck crash injuring, hospitalizing 1 in Clay Township

CLAY TOWNSHIP — A motorcyclist was injured after they were involved in a crash with a dump truck in Clay Township Monday morning.

Clay Township Police were dispatched to the 200 block of West Upper Lewisburg Salem Road at 7:37 a.m. on reports of a crash with injuries, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a motorcycle and dump truck crashed into one another, causing injuries to the motorcyclist.

However, the motorcyclist was wearing their helmet, conscious, and breathing. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The severity of his condition is currently unknown.

The Clay Township Police Department led the investigation into the crash.
