MORAINE — A large mulch fire at a local business sent a plume of smoke into the sky on Sunday.

The fire was reported to Champion Mulch at 3400 Dryden Road on reports of a fire around 2:40 p.m., a Moraine police and fire dispatcher confirmed.

News Center 7 crews saw several firefighters on scene working to extinguish the flames.
Moraine police were also spotted blocking the road, preventing traffic from getting through.
Photos and videos from the scene show heavy smoke and large flames coming from the mulch pile.
