UPDATE: Bengals QB Joe Burrow released from hospital after potential throat contusion

CINCINNATI — UPDATE @ 1:15 p.m. (Oct. 11):

Cincinnati Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow was released from a Cincinnati-area hospital after suffering a potential throat contusion in Sunday’s game, according to a report from the NFL’s Ian Rapoport.

Burrow went to a hospital to be checked out after the Bengals’ 25-22 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers. Rapoport reports Burrow “checked out fine” and is expected to be ok.

The team notified reporters after the game that Burrow wouldn’t be speaking to the media because he was heading to the hospital to get checked out.

On Monday, the Bengals announced other roster moves that did not include Burrow:

• Linebacker Jordan Evans was placed on injured reserve after suffering a left knee injury in Sunday’s game. Reports indicate Evans suffered a torn ACL and is out for the remainder of the season.
• Starting offensive lineman Jackson Carman and running back Samaje Perine were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Bengals fell to 3-2 on the season and return to action against the Detroit Lions at Detroit’s Ford Field Sunday at 1 p.m.
